1. You Can Listen Anytime, Anywhere!

By subscribing to the service and downloading the Audible app on the phone, you have an endless choice of audio books at your fingertips! Be sure to download the books when you have an internet connection. Then sit back and enjoy listening as the story unravels and takes you to places you’ve never been before. You can listen any time you like for as long as you want – in bed, on road trips, at the gym. What’s more, Audible awards badges too, which is really cool!

2. Audible Makes Boring Moments Become Blissful Ones

How many times have you found yourself caught up in a delay when commuting? Waiting for a train or a plane can be frustrating enough, but even more so if you have nothing to help you kill time. Because let’s face it, how many times are you going to refresh your Instagram feed? The Audible app on your phone is only a click away. Plug in your earphones and get lost in the world of your favourite characters. Keep an eye out for any changes on the screen though. You don’t want to miss the next train either! Better to continue listening on board than at the station or the airport lounge!

3. Audible Inspires You to Travel

So many talented authors have introduced us to tiny villages tucked away in the English countryside, or remote islands in the middle of the ocean all waiting to be explored. There is nothing better than looking up a place on the map and planning a trip to it.

Even if you cannot travel, seeing the world through the eyes of a well-developed character can make you feel that you, too, have had the opportunity to visit the place. Better yet, you can do this without spending a penny. Armchair travel at £7.99 a month. If that’s not a bargain, we don’t know what is!

4. Audible Keeps Your Budget in Check

Are you a bookworm who finds yourself burning a hole in your pocket every time you set foot in a bookshop? Problem solved with Audible! Our audible plus catalogue allows us to enjoy unlimited listening for just £7.99 a month! You can also benefit from 2 for 1 sales and other offers that pop up on your screen every few weeks or so. Which brings us to…

5. Audible Helps You Embrace Minimalism

Having a library in our homes is something us readers strive for, but realistically, how much space do we have these days? If you live in an apartment, how long will it be before you start piling up books here, there and everywhere? Do you reread your books or do you read them once and let them gather dust for the rest of eternity?

If you’re constantly on the move, do you truly wish to be weighed down by tons of books everywhere you go? Despite our love for physical books and the smell and feel of them, we have decided to donate all our books to the library (except for a small number which have sentimental value). We subscribed to Audible and have not looked back since.

  1. I will definitely have to check this out as I don’t seem to have time to read at the moment and I really miss it. Reading is such a wonderful way to relax, be entertained or practice some self-care so it’s important to find ways to incorporate it into our day. Thanks for sharing!

I love consuming books. I love the fact that my 30 minute commute to work can be turned into a way to do one of my favorite things instead. Audible also has some pretty awesome podcasts as well!

I think Audible is a great alternative for reading. Especially while I’m doing chores or any other work, it really helps me focus when I’m listening to a book instead of music since I’d usually sing along and not do the work. It’s also great since I’m not great with focusing on a book, so listening while I read along helps keep me engaged in the book. Audible helps create emotion in the story and helps with pronunciation of words that are difficult for the reader. Thanks for the informative post!

I enjoy reading so much but the only time I have the chance to read is at night because of all the school word and training I have everyday. I would be so tyred to read even a phew sentences but it all changes when I hear the story. As a dyslexic child I can say that is very difficult for me to read so Audible might be the way for dyslexic people. Even people with low attention spans may find Audible a great choice for listening to books. I feel that audio books help me imagine the story much easier than when I read the story because I get very bored. I travel a lot so I like to bring a book with me so I don’t get bored but I get sick looking down to read so audio books are much better. Audible can reduce the weight when you travel and it can also reduce the money you spend on books which is big problem for bookworms like me. I am sure that if I get Audible my room will be so blank without books in it.
